The Silverton Community Swimming Pool is located
at 601 Miller Street. The pool is open to the public nearly all year
round. The pool was totally upgraded in 2001 with a pool cover that
has allowed the pool to be open through the winter. Pool facilities
include a slide, diving board, full ADA access, and a separate children's
pool.

Lifeguard Training
To be eligible for lifeguard training, you
must meet the following requirements.
Must be at least 15 years of age at the time the class finishes.
Water pre-course: Swim a total of 300 yards, 100 free style (front
crawl), rhythmic breathing to the side or to the front or 100 yards
of breast stroke using pull or breaststroke or a combination.
Timed event: Swim 20 yards dive down pick up 10lb brick and return
to starting position with object and exit water without using ladder
or steps within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
